Jacob has been enjoying the garden today. I discovered him reading a book this morning…
He certainly seems very absorbed in it and spent quite a bit of time studying the pictures in detail. I think he must have really enjoyed it as later this afternoon I discovered him sitting on a chair in the garden telling his dog and frog all about it.
Last night I finished knitting another outfit for Chrissy. A pair of leggings and Diamonds are Forever dress, which as actually ended up a bit small for her and is more of a jumper. I might try it on someone else to see if it fits them better.
I really need to try and get to grips with wordpress a bit better. I find it much harder to understand and work out than blogspot which I have been using for years. I guess I just need to set a bit of time aside to work it out. I would like to add pages and proper tags and things…Perhaps I will try and do a bit tomorrow morning if I wake up early again.
I finished another Candy Stripe dress the other day which Chrissy is kindly modelling for me. She really likes these dresses and the fact that they both match her shoes.
I made a little flower to go on the bodice of this one that looks rather sweet.
Almost finished another dress, although a different one this time. Hopefully will post photos in a couple of days.
Chrissy is getting the attention at the moment, and I finished a second knitted outfit for her today, a dress ‘Candy Stripes’. Again this is part of August’s KAL. I still have the bag and hat to make which I will make a start on this evening. I am really liking her colouring. On one of the AG groups I belong to, many have said she isn’t very photogenic, but I think she is.
I love the colours I chose for this dress and think they suit her well.
Her ‘meet’ shoes also go with the dress well.
The pale yellow adds a nice contrast to the violet/purple.
I think she looks pretty happy with it on a whole. Of course I have been asked to hurry up and finish the matching bag and hat!
I belong to several doll knitting groups on Ravelry and enjoy taking part in the KAL (Knit A Longs) I have finally finished the main part of July’s KAL a coat, pattern by Astrid Aesoey. I still need to make a hat and a bag, but they can wait as August’s KAL has started and I am looking forward to it.
Chrissy likes the Lady bird buttons.
Now she could have done with matching shoes, but demanded to model the coat straight away without any thought of what else she was wearing.
A little cheeky look!
Introducing one of my American Girls, Chrissy, wearing a little summer dress I made for her yesterday as we have finally got some sunshine. I think she is going to offer it to another girl though as it is a wee bit tight under the arms which is a shame as I think the colour suits her so well. I will have to see if I have enough of the fabric (recycled sheet I believe it was) to make another.
Chrissy is hoping to get a chance to play with Kit & Kat today, the terrible twosome, lets hope they don’t lead her into mischief!
